It's your ego which is speaking, not rationale, and certainly not humanity. And I guess apartheid still exists - at least in the minds of the people like you.Arijithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17068566260695847744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948861.post-55776470969380207062007-05-12T19:02:00.000+01:002007-05-12T19:02:00.000+01:00It says here that it took the Cubans 36 000 men to...It says here that it took the Cubans 36 000 men to beat back the South Africans. Guess how many South Africans were there? Only about 3000 and we were kicking Cuban butt for years. Only diplomacy made us leave Angola, not a bunch of Communists.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948861.post-86137992503074477312007-05-10T09:56:00.000+01:002007-05-10T09:56:00.000+01:00That's what I assumed - because the text in bengal...That's what I assumed - because the text in bengali says that the result is disputed, and talks about both the views. As I said, it's a narration of a BBC documentary, with some additional inputs from Wiki and some other articles.Arijithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17068566260695847744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948861.post-5163509380872981222007-05-10T09:53:00.000+01:002007-05-10T09:53:00.000+01:00Hi Arijit,I read just the quotes.. and they are mo...Hi Arijit,
I read just the quotes.. and they are mostly garbage. There is a wealth of propoganda out there about the Battle of Cuito Carnavale etc. Just take a look at the talk page on the Wiki article which you link to and you will see that the outcome of the battle is disputed.. Mostly because it was in the best interests of the Cubans to have people believe that they won, and in the best interests of the SA Government of the time to allow them to believe it..

JDJohn Doveyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09509753043837134561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948861.post-34420588005770471402007-05-10T09:40:00.000+01:002007-05-10T09:40:00.000+01:00robc,It's just a narration of the documentary show...robc,

It's just a narration of the documentary shown on BBC-4 a week ago. One question though - did you read the whole of it (because it's written in Bengali, and as you are from the SA, I'm not sure if you know this language) or just the quotes?Arijithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17068566260695847744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26948861.post-23787424573346018172007-05-10T09:32:00.000+01:002007-05-10T09:32:00.000+01:00Don't believe everything that the Cubans claim reg...Don't believe everything that the Cubans claim regarding them "Liberating" Africa...
I was involved, were you?RobChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10906914888029961524noreply@blogger.com
